California

This post is a little out of order. We went to California the 3rd weekend of April. Originally we had started out thinking we were going to go to L.A. and maybe spend one night in San Diego so we could go to Sea World but then we realized it would be better to get the 3 day pass to the Zoo, Wild Animal Kingdom Park and Sea World. We left on Thursday right after school got out and went to the airport. We flew to L.A. and then got a rental car and drove to San Diego. The first night we stayed in a horrible hotel that looked much better on line. We were in the middle of a bunch of strip joints, bars and adult stores so we decided we needed to get a new hotel. We couldn't find anything that had an opening for Friday and Saturday night so we stayed in two more hotels which was the most exhausting part of the whole trip. We stayed in 4 different places total since we left on Sunday and stayed at Tyler and Kristen's place in L.A. These pictures are of us on our first two days there and my next post will have the pictures from the rest of the trip. We went to eat at World Famous which is a restaurant on the beach before heading over to the Wild Animal Kingdom. Kalea loved the sand and the other kids were happy to see the beach again. We enjoyed visiting the Wild Animal Kingdom park. It was a lot of walking but it was great to see the baby lions up close. They were playing with their dad at one point and that was neat to watch. The kids had fun feeding the birds nectar. Kiani jumped the first time one landed on her and spilled most of her nectar. Kalea was happy to sit in her stroller and watch everything around her. We went to a park to eat that night and tried the sushi that I mentioned earlier. At that point we still hadn't found a hotel and we were wondering why we decided it would be fun to come on vacation. The hotel was much better then the night before. As you can see no pictures of me. I am usually the one behind the camera which is kind of funny since Dallin is the one who is the good photographer. I don't mind too much though since he is much cuter than I am. My next post will have our trip to Sea World, Zoo, and Tyler's house. Thanks Tyler and Kristen for letting us come stay with you.
