Yesterday, I logged on to facebook and saw a message from Dallin's cousin Julia that Grandpa Max (Dallin's Grandpa) was having a hard time breathing and would be going into surgery later that day to get a tracheotomy. Then a few hours later we recieved word that he wasn't going to make it. They took off all of the machines and just wanted nature to take it's course. They gave him medicine to help him be comfortable and everyone that could, came to say goodbye. All of his kids were able to make it and were able to spend time with him. Bruce, his son-in-law gave him a beautiful blessing. Kiani had a really tough time seeing Grandpa Fun lying in bed and knowing that he wasn't going to be there to hug her and talk to her anymore. To see her so torn up made my heart break. Grandpa has lived a great, full life. He has done so many amazing things and we all look up to him. She understands that it will be good for him to pass on and be with his loved ones on the other side but it certainly doesn't make it any easier. We stayed at the hospital for an hour and a half and then decided it was time to go get dinner and head home. We also wanted to let his children spend sometime with him without all the kids around. We left knowing that that was probably the last time we would see him alive in this life. When I woke up this morning I recieved a call from my mother-in-law telling me that an amazing thing had happened. Misty (Dallin's niece had made it up to see Grandpa just before midnight. Grandpa had never seen Misty's new sweet girl Almaya. She layed her on his chest and Grandpa did something he hadn't done all day. He held her. A few hours later he woke up and started talking. He asked when his surgery would be. I haven't recieved word yet on how he is doing this afternoon and if they are still planning on the surgery or not. I will keep everyone posted when I know. He is a very tenacious person and it doesn't surprise me in the least that he rallied back for atleast a little more time with his family on this earth. Grandpa, We love you so much!

This is Granpda with most of his great grandchildren. He is so proud of all of his posterity.
